What an amazing couple of weeks!

I got home from San Francisco on July 2nd and jumped right back into the kitchen. I was baking pies for friends and my family.

I got a few days of rest, or what I would consider rest. I went to Jazzercise On July 4th where I got to sing "America, the Beautiful" with 5 amazing women. The following weekend I took a short 6 mile hike with some of my family. Obviously, my recovery is going very well. On July 11th, the first of two cooking and baking camps began. Only one
student signed up for 3 days, but she was not lonely. My children joined in and it was a full camp! I may have had more fun than they did.

Everything was made from scratch. Enchiladas and churros were a hit!

We went out and picked fresh berries for our crisp.

Hamburgers taste better on fresh buns.

On the last day of camp, our new friend brought her own homemade ketchup for the hamburgers. So much talent. These camps are for everyone, from beginner to "master chef!"

The most important part of my classes is to show everyone that they can cook a complete meal and have fun doing it. Mission accomplished! I have dubbed today Cheesecake Sunday. I wanted to show my thanks to a friend for promoting my business so I made a cheesecake for her. There was a little filling left over so I made cheesecake bites.

I have an order for brownies due tomorrow. Decided to do a test run with my family as guinea pigs. They approved, but who wouldn't love a hot, gooey brownie served with strawberries, ice cream, and whipped cream?

That's what I've been up to, so far. Next Saturday, July 23, 2 p.m. to midnight, I will have a booth set up at Happy Valley Park during the Relay for Life. 25% of all sales will go to the American Cancer Society.

Then there will be one more camp, July 25-29. There is room for a few more people so don't miss out.
I hope you're having a great summer!
